El Nido is located in the northernmost tip of Palawan island, also
called the "Last Frontier".
Palawan is part of the Philippines at about 420 km southwest of Manila.
Bacuit Bay,a Marine Reserve of El Nido
is surrounded by the renowned El Nido limestone cliffs and caves
and are estimated to be 250 million years old. These caves are home to countless
swallow's nests, used in the Chinese cuisine to prepare the famous bird's
nest soup.
The cliffs and numerous islands stand guard over clear, calm waters with
hundreds of species of tropical fishes, corals and some species of endangered
sea turtles making it the ideal location for safe swimming and snorkeling.
